Fans of pups and pubs, our pack of judges will select the UK’s favourite dog-friendly pub from a shortlist of 12 regional winners
Founder & CEO, DogBuddy
Born and raised in Sweden, Richard received a MA in Engineering and Financial Modelling from KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Through his career at McKinsey and PwC, he gained valuable experience in management consulting and corporate strategy. In 2011 he took on his first CEO role at online recruitment and talent management start-up, Jobylon.
Inspired by his Father and Grandfather before him, launching DogBuddy in 2013 is Richard’s greatest achievement to date. It’s Richard’s vision to make DogBuddy the number one trusted dog brand in Europe.
Senior Scientific Officer, RSPCA
Lisa Hens is a Senior Scientific Officer at the RSPCA, specialising in dog welfare.
As an animal lover she feels incredibly lucky to have been working for the charity for over 10 years. Lisa’s job is very varied, but one of her favourite parts is being able to help owners improve their dog’s welfare by providing advice and guidance on what dogs need to be happy and healthy.
Being able to find dog friendly destinations helps owners plan their activities so that they, and their dogs can have the best time possible, so Lisa is looking forward to seeing how the pubs this year think about the needs of their doggy customers
Editor, Morning Advertiser
Ed Bedington is Editor of industry leading pub trade magazine the Morning Advertiser.
Having worked across a range of business-to-business titles over the years, his vast experience of spending a fair proportion of his working life in pubs has now culminated in him being able to write about pubs for a living!
A keen pub and dog lover, Ed is really looking forward to judging how well pubs across the country cater for our furry four-legged friends.
Editor, Your Dog Magazine
Tom de Nert
UK distribution, Snuffle Dog Beer
Tom has a background in London’s bustling finance sector, but his latest job hints at his true passion.
Snuffle Dog Beer is a tasty alternative to water. As Tom says, why should dogs miss out on a tasty beverage while at the pub? It’s healthy, too!
